Are women degraded in the media?
Bad Points
- Women in today's society are still not given the same amount of respect as men.
- Women are constantly seen in magazines with no clothes on exposing themselves.
- When a women takes off her clothes, people automatically think that she is uneducated and a slag.
Good Points
- It is the women's choice to take off her clothes, and ultimately it is her decision to let the pictures be taken.
- Men also model topless or with no clothes nowadays for magazines, so it is not just women who use sex to sell.
- Some women enjoy getting naked as they are proud of their body so why not take their clothes off if they are going to make money and they’re enjoying it.
In the past 20 years women have been able to be more opinionated and do more things like become the president of the United States
These magazines make women look cheap and slutty. The caption “Hello sunshine…goodbye clothes” gives the impression that she is willing to get naked just for some sun. She nearly has her nipples on show which shows she hasn’t got much respect for herself and she is probably just desperate to make money, Big $$$.
