I have collected a number of results from a questionnaire i drew up about the short film i will be making, this has helped me understand what my target audience like looking at and also tells me if i have choose the right target audience in the first place.
In this diagram it shows the results i got from my questionnaire i handed out to a number of people about the short film i would be making. In this diagram i asked them do they like violence in films? As you can see the majority of people said yes and less than 1 quarter said no.
This diagram shows that three people said yes and seven people said no. The question that was asked was are you Male or Female? This turned out relevant as i could understand what different genders like.
This diagram students were asks Do they prefer films with excitement or like slow films? as you can see from the graph they all liked the excitement film. This shows they like films that are up beat and give them something to work out. This helps with my film as i will make sure the story line does not drag and it is fun.
The diagram shows the answers from the people i asked the questions to, in this question i asked them Do they like watching people with there own age in? 60% of the people said yes and the other 40% said they do not like watching people there own age. From these results i have decided to use someone the same age or a bit older to act in the film as 60% of people like watching there own age.
These results have helped in in a number of ways, they have helped me when making the film and it has helped me understand my Target audience in a better way. This then should be a successful film and many people that age range would like it.
